JLH Arts Agency

FAQ's
At JLH Arts Agency, we’re passionate about supporting talent of all ages, whether you're just starting out or have been in the industry for years. We work as sole agents, which means we fully dedicate ourselves to representing you and helping you find the best opportunities. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about joining our agency
For Child Clients (Ages 4-18) How does JLH Arts Agency work?
We represent children from 4 to 18 years old across acting, modelling, and other exciting areas of entertainment. We’re selective in who we take on, making sure that every child we represent has a great chance of finding work. If your child’s application is successful, we’ll contact you within 15 working days and ask for an audition or self-tape. We also have specialized divisions, including street casting and family divisions, ensuring we cater to a wide range of opportunities.
Are there any fees to join JLH Arts Agency?
Nope, there are no fees to join us! We work solely on commission, which means we only earn when we secure paid work for your child. The only additional costs might be for Spotlight membership (if your child is eligible) and professional headshots. Spotlight is a casting platform that helps your child get noticed by casting directors. We are Spotlight-accredited, so being on the platform can really open doors. You’ll also need headshots from a photographer we recommend, as we don’t provide them in-house.
How do you earn?
We take a small commission when your child secures work—15-20% for stage and theatre, and 20-25% for TV, film, commercials, and modelling. Don’t worry about travel expenses; they’re not part of the commission. Our aim is to work hard to find the right roles for your child, as we only succeed when they do!
Will my child get guaranteed work?
We wish we could say yes, but no agency can guarantee work. We do our best to match your child with suitable opportunities, but the final decision is always up to the client. If an agency promises guaranteed work, that’s a big red flag!
What happens after we join?
Once your child is on our books, we’ll submit them for roles that match their profile. If a client is interested, we’ll contact you for casting or booking details. It’s important to keep us updated on any changes, like if your child has a new look or availability changes, so we can always submit accurate profiles.
For Adult Clients (Ages 18-100) How does JLH Arts Agency work?
We represent adults from 18 up to 100 years old for acting, modelling, and more! We carefully review each application, and if you’re successful, we’ll invite you to submit an audition or self-tape. We also have divisions for street casting and family talent, so there’s a wide variety of opportunities available. As your sole agent, we’ll make sure to put you forward for the best roles that fit your profile.
Are there any fees to join?
Absolutely not! There are no fees to join our agency. We work on a commission-only basis, meaning we only earn when you book paid work. The only costs you might have are for Spotlight membership (if eligible) and professional headshots. Spotlight is a key casting platform used by the industry, and as a Spotlight-accredited agency, we strongly recommend joining to maximize your opportunities. You’ll also need professional headshots, which should be taken by one of our recommended photographers.

Is work guaranteed once I join?
No, work isn’t guaranteed. We’ll submit you for every role that fits your profile, but ultimately it’s the client who makes the decision. If any agency promises you guaranteed work, be cautious! **What happens after I join ?
